Global business and talent attraction taskforce

As part of the Australian Government’s multi-pronged strategy to boost the economy and prosperity across the nation, on 4 September 2020, the Hon Alan Tudge MP, Acting Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs, and Senator the Hon Simon Birmingham, Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, jointly announced the new Global Business and Talent Attraction Taskforce (‘the Taskforce’).

Progress to date

The Government continues to implement the $585 million Delivering Skills for Today and Tomorrow package of measures to strengthen the vocational education and training system.

The National Careers Institute (NCI) was established to ensure people have access to authoritative and accurate careers information and support irrespective of their age or career stage.

Your Career — a user-focused digital platform — is the careers 'front door' for people of all ages and all stages to find accurate and authoritative careers information, helping them to make more informed choices about study, training and employment pathways.
