Industry will develop an industry position paper on digital trade.

Encourage the establishment of an industry-led body to develop a stronger narrative about why e-commerce is good for Australia, particularly for regional Australia, and promote awareness of e-commerce issues. This body could be an industry focal point for engagement in our region.
Progress to date
The Australian Services Roundtable (ASR) has developed a skeleton draft of the Industry Position Paper and the initial draft text will be ready for circulation in the Digital Trade Forum before the end of 2021. The text is likely to involve position papers on several sub-topics rather than complete in one single document, a final industry position on "digital trade". An SME case study has been conducted in the commercial space services sector in South Australia. Some analysis has also been undertaken of GATS+ electronic delivery (Mode 1) services commitments made by trading partners in Australia's free-trade-agreements.
